One of the hottest bands in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada right now is The Beelays – a soulful six-piece, female-fronted, funk-rock fusion band. Their synergy and inspired musicality is tangible every time they play. In each live performance, moments of improvisation are a catalyst for band members and the audience to interact and lose themselves in the moment. Beelays produce musical creations that seek to push the boundaries of expectations, showcasing their hard-hitting talent and captivating quirky style. Through their original lyrics, soaring melodies, funky grooves and contagious energy, The Beelays' music uplifts and entertains.

2019 has been a very busy year for the band with shows, festivals, recording, and shooting videos. In October, The Beelays toured Ontario and Quebec.

Notable performances include:
• Main stage at Supercrawl (Hamilton’s arts/music fest, 225,000+ attendees)
• Sound of Music Festival (Burlington, ON)
• Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra guests
• Headlined Dundas Victoria Day Fireworks for 12,000 people

• Top prize at the 2017 Hamilton Music & Film Festival
• Won “Best Pop Album” at the 2015 Hamilton Music Awards (as backing band for Kojo Easy Damptey)

• All members hold a diploma in jazz or classical performance from Mohawk College
• Three members hold a degree in contemporary music from Humber College
• One member currently working towards a Masters of Composition at York University
• All members studied music privately with esteemed Canadian teachers
• The group studies mindfulness as it relates to music with Adrean Farrugia
